- 4 Cups Sugar
- 4 Cups Corn Syrup
- Dash Salt
- 1 Can Sweetened Condensed Milk (Eagle Brand)
- 1 1/2 Quarts Whipping Cream
- Nuts
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
Directions
Bring sugar, corn syrup and salt to rolling boil for 10 minutes. Mix whipping cream and condensed milk. Scald and add very gradually to sugar (about 4 to 5 minutes). Bring to soft ball stage. (Use candy thermometer for this--don't go by the water in the cup method). Add nuts as desired and vanilla. Pour in greased 9x13 pans. Cut when cooled and wrap in waxed paper.
